Wet n Wild Limited Edition Mega last Lip Color–On the Ave 34672

Hi Everyone,

I recently picked up two new mega last lipsticks from Fall 2015 limited collection by WetnWild cosmetics. Every year WetnWild brings new colors for Fall and last year I  didn’t get chance to buy any. So this year I picked up the colors I was interested in as soon I saw the display. Because they are limited edition they are gone in no time.

They are semi matte cream finished lipsticks this time, not full matte. They are priced as regular ones $2.19 each. The pigmentation is great and being so affordable line, I love all wet wild mega last lipsticks. They will actually last for long, they are pretty long wearing. They don’t have any smell, this time also the tube is matte from outside not like regular megalast  line.

I have done swatches for almost all from this line, if you want to check them out.

Here are the Swatches for new one “ On the Ave”, This color is really pretty berry color, with blue toned pink, looks like magenta. After some time it turns to matte. It does transfer. I love wearing this kind of color in spring and summer.

Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème Collection -Limited Edition

Hello Beauties,
Today I am going to review one of the most talked about liquid matte lipsticks, but they are limited edition. Make sure you run by your CVS or Walgreens to find them quickly as they are going out fast as I totally recommend them. They are 8 colors in this collection, from nude to really bold colors, these shades look on different skin tones.
01 Crush, 02 Adore, 03 Beloved, 04 Lust, 05 Embrace, 06 Desire, 07 Romance, 08 Flirt
I was skeptical to pick these as I had bad experience with liquid matte lipsticks  with few other brands. But there was so much hype about it, so I decided to pick them. I picked 5 colors 01 Crush, 03 Beloved, 04 Lust, 06 Desire and 07 Romance. They were around $7 in CVS (downtown Dallas), which is little higher but I have seen on  social media people got them at around $5.99 too, which is quite affordable. I love Milani Matte color statement lipsticks as they are cruelty free and they are highly pigmented and various colors in it which you pick according to you liking.
Chitra Pal Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème Collection Chitra Pal Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème Collection
Now lets talk about these Amore Matte Lip Crème, they are in the same tube like they had lip gloss before. The tube has golden cap which feels like luxury product. It has flat applicator on both sides which makes it easier to apply on lips. But be careful the applicator does not have too much product on it. It can go out of control and can come out of lines very easily.
It has really sweet candy kind of fragrance . I still don't know which candy, trying to figure out:) but it goes away after some time, it did not bother at all to me.
They are really pigmented and budge proof, kiss proof. I would say that they are perfectly doing all the claims as mentioned on their website, but it did not last for me after lunch, I had normal sandwich that day and it came off, I have shown in swatch below. It is easy to reapply does not go patchy.
According to website they are :-
This revolutionary, highly saturated liquid-to-matte formula dries to a soft, velvety finish for fuller-looking lips. Its double-sided, flexible plush applicator hugs the contours of lips, working to lock in bold, opaque color. Non-sticky, smooth and ready for all-night wear, the limited edition Amore Matte Lip Crème is the ultimate transfer resistant kiss-me-matte.
Swatches:- I will post lip swatches for them separate:)
Chitra Pal Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème Collection
Like I said I will recommend to everyone who are looking for budget friendly and drugstore options for liquid matte lipsticks. They are worth the hype, grab before they are gone as they are limited edition.

Review L.A.Girl Flat Finish Pigment Gloss

Good Morning Girls,

Here is my review and swatches for LA Girl Flat Finish Pigment Gloss, which I got them recently when I attended Makeup Show from Ricky NYC counter for $5.99 each and I got 20% discount over it. There are total 16 shades in this line. I bought 6 , one each from one color family as I love matte lipsticks and for this price point, it seemed like worth it.

Chitra Pal La Girl Flat Pigment Gloss (3)

Overall Review:-

Lets talk about the packaging first, it's sturdy and you can actually see the lipstick color from outside clearly. Its plastic tube, and it has doe foot wand applicator, which is flat, and can get the color on both sides which is easier to apply too. It has name mentioned on the lipstick back side with some number too. But as I said you can see the color from outside, so you don't need to remember the name and keep it upside down in your makeup drawers. It has a weird paint smell, which is noticeable once you apply, but it goes away, but you can taste it little longer on lips. I don't really care about it. I am fine with it.

So now lets talk about application, which is my review about. I love the colors selection, they tend to attract you and the price is great too. I was lured into this. Now I think of I should have tested one before, instead of buying all in once. Basically for all matte lipstick I always exfoliate and apply lip balm on my lips. I did the same for them too. I applied the lipstick slowly, so that it does not spread out of lip line and does not get on my teeth at all. I applied first layer and then when it dried I applied second layer. It was pretty pigmented not streaky at all, but still I wanted two layers. It was not budge proof for whole day, as I ate in between and if you eat oily food, it gets off from inner part of your lips. But whole day I was so uncomfortable because of dry lips after sometime my lips were paining and some of the colors got flakey also. It settled into fine lines and then after sometime it got flakey. After I use to apply them , the next day I was only applying olive oil, lip balm only. My lips got so dehydrated, that all the moisture was gone and it chapped.

Overall I really liked the colors and loved the pigmentation and price point, but it did not work for me at all. I wish it would have worked like other people, but it did not. I am not happy with the formulation at all. I have actually taken a lot of time in testing them out and gave them good chance. I really wanted to like them.

Swatches:- I have tested all these lipsticks separately for more than once for whole day. So here are the swatches.

Chitra Pal La Girl Flat Pigment Gloss (1)

From left to right: Bazaar, Timeless, Obsess, Instinct, Frisky, Rebel

As I said I love all the colors they are pretty pigmented and beautiful on lips.

Chitra Pal La Girl Flat Pigment Gloss (5)

I will be doing separate post for lip swatches.

My review is totally my opinion, It can differ from person to person. My intention is not to hurt or offend anyone.

Cheers

11 things your lips say about You

Happy Monday Girlies, I have such an interesting post to share today, I read it recently on MSN" 11 things your lips say about you " Your lip print is more useful than leaving behind a sexy stain on your Starbucks cup or leaving a this-is-so-embarrassing mark on your nephew's cute chubby cheeks. In fact, they actually reveal a ton about your personality. And since we're as curious as a smelly cat (Friends reference—anyone?), we tapped lipsologist Ariana/Anna Snodgrass, a Jilly Eddy-certified lipsologist, to find out just how much our lips are really saying. So go and layer on your favorite shade (for ultrasoft lips, we're obsessed with GLAMGLOWs new Lip Duo—a fizzy lip treatment for exfoliation, and lip balm for tons of moisture), grab a piece of paper and pucker up. Then take a look at the list below to find out what your kisser says. First there's your shape to consider...

Open in the Centre, but closed on the sides :

You're open to new experiences and love to find random of-the-moment adventures. If you notice your print is really open—more than 1.5 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide, if we're getting technical—consider yourself the life of the party that everyone wants to be around.

Open corners

You're easily bored and need to keep busy in order to feel satisfied. You may enjoy bouncing from task to task, rather than finishing one thing before moving on to the next, because it keeps your brain stimulated and moving in all different directions.

Square or rectangle

More than anything, you really love to nurture others (hello, mum of the year!). Which makes sense, since everyone likes to turn to you when working out a big problem. People tend to gravitate toward you because you're grounded and often considered reliable—nobody can accuse you of blowing off an important event...or even ditching your weekly workout with the girls.

Oval or round

You're a diplomat or peacekeeper (not the ones in Hunger Games, mind you), and try to avoid conflict at all cost. Some might say you're a bit of a push-over, but we say you're just really good at seeing things from everyone's point of view before making a decision. You're a pro at diffusing tense situations, and likely find time in your day to meditate, as you know how beneficial it can be.

Triangle

If you've ever doubted your ability to lead a team, well, stop that right now. You're really good at recognizing talent in others, and can foster that talent to create a productive, nurturing work environment. Take a closer look at your upper lip, too—if it's fuller than the bottom, you're also a great listener. More fullness on the bottom means you tend to be very generous and give back to the community.

Wavy

Your lip print doesn't fit into one particular shape, which speaks volumes about your creativity. You love to think outside the box, and aren't afraid to try something crazy on the off-chance it just might succeed. And then size (yep, it really does matter)...

If your print is small (1-1.75" wide, .75-1.06" high): You're a very detail-oriented woman, and pay close attention to deadlines. You thrive on projects that require a close watch on budget (you may or may not secretly jump for joy when you come under it), and are careful when making any big-time decisions.

If your print is medium-sized (1.75-2.25" wide, .875-1.75" high): Hey there, busy lady! You love having a million balls to juggle, and are a pro at keeping each one in the air. Multitasking might as well be your middle name, so you may feel a little lost when there aren't a lot of things to tackle on your to-do list.

If your print is large (2.25-3" wide, 1.5-3" high): Go big or go home is your life motto. If you can't do it right the first time, you don't want to do it at all. Throwing big events or taking the lead on a noteworthy project at work excites you, as you like to give the proper care and attention large-scale commitments require.

If your top lip is fuller than the bottom

You're a great listener, but don't have time for long-winded rants or explanations—you'd rather just get to the point and find a solution quickly. And if you notice fine, white lines appearing on your upper lip and trickling down vertically, then take note—those are called spirit lines, and they signal a strong spiritual side or a feeling of personal connection to something "bigger" than yourself.

If your bottom lip is fuller than the top

Generosity is your middle name, and it's not just about financially giving for you—sharing your ideas, thoughts, skills, and resources is just as important. Oh, and pay attention to those little white lines you took note of before—they can also signal stress. If they trickle horizontally (rather than vertically) from the center of the lower lip and travel outward, then you're likely dealing with a lot of stress (same goes for a dark outline around your lips. If you see it, you're overwhelmed and need to slow down before taking on more work). The good news is that it's stress you can control, so sit back and evaluate the best steps you can take toward finding a solution. If those same horizontal lines are appearing on your upper lip though, take a deep breath. That's stress you don't have a lot of control over, so there may be something happening that you need to work on worrying about less.

Hope you enjoyed, Have a great week ahead. Do share your shape and what personality are you, are you really like that?

I am first one:)   Open in centre

Loreal Colour Rich Collection Exclusive Reds–Freida's Red

Hi Girls,

Happy Friday :) Today we are talking about this new exclusive red lipstick I picked up recently from Walgreens.

L'Oreal has come up with new Collection Exclusive Red Lipsticks, which are Limited edition of tailor made red lip color. Shades for every skin tone. There are 8 shades in this range inspired by celebrities. I got two of them as I think I have most of other colors in my collection. When I saw this display at drugstores, I had to get them for sure, as I love red lipsticks.

There are 8 shades:-

400 Doutzen's Red
401 Julianne Red
402 Blake Red
403 Eva Red
404 JLo Red
405 Frieds'a Red
406 Joey's Red
407 Liya's Red

This is one of the lipstick I picked up, Freida's Red. When I saw this color in the display I had to get it for sure, its was so different from other Red's, it is actually a pinky red not red. It is dark Fuchsia color, to be precise not pure red. But I really loved this, it reminds me of Relentlessly Red from Mac so much. I don't have that, so I am not sure if it is a dupe or similar. But it does look like that color. They normally range from $7 to $11 depending on where you buy it. I have heard from my friend she got from Wal-Mart for just $6 something. I got from Walgreens from downtown location so it costed me $9.90, which is very expensive for drugstore lipstick but I went through three Walgreens to get this color and had to buy it as soon I found it. There was no sale on these at that time.

Chitra Pal Loreal Collection Exclusive Freidas Red 405 (3)

Lets talk about packaging first, they have kind of velvety texture on the tube outside with gold packaging inside. This made it feel so luxurious , but if you think practical, this packaging gets dirty so much so quickly if you have anything on your hands with white cast, it will leave your tube white patchy which is not pretty at all. All the lipsticks have names mentioned on the outside packaging which makes it easier in storing the lipsticks. The cap is sturdy and will lock the lipstick well.

Chitra Pal Loreal Collection Exclusive Freidas Red 405 (2)

It is matte finish lipstick but not at all drying on the lips like few matte lipsticks, specially the new liquid matte lipsticks which I have been testing for some time, will be posting about them soon.
Its easy to glide on to the lips, and does not tug the lips. It has a light fragrance to it, goes away after wearing it. Its very flattering to all skin types, it is bold and beautiful color. Its very pigmented but you can build up more to get rich color. It does not feather off, but with these bold colors, its advised to use a lip liner always if you ware wearing for long time. Without lip liner it gave me around 4 -5 hours with eating and drinking. It had light stain, but it can be reapplied well too.

Chitra Pal Loreal Collection Exclusive Freidas Red 405

I would totally recommend this to my girl friends. This is gorgeous color for every day or for a special occasion.

Swatches for WetnWild Silk Finish lipsticks

Review:-

Wet n Wild recently revamped their Silk Finish lipsticks, they were in silver tubes and they are now replaced with black plastic tubes. I have used some of Silk Finish and I was curious to see if the formula changed as well. I got few of the colors, which I don't think are new as I saw them earlier too. They are variety of finishes and colors for everyone, from glossy to cream finished. I got few glossy ones and few cream ones. I am not a fan of glossy ones, just because I don't like glossy finish but the color pay off on both the finishes are really great.

These are enriched with conditioning ingredients of vitamins A & E and aloe vera for moist looking lips. The application is very smooth since it is so moisturizing and it looks great. Only downside of these lipsticks are you have to apply more often, they are not long lasting lipsticks. They are around 99c in all drugstore or Wal-Mart. They are perfect for budget friendly makeup, as you can good color payoff from these. For some of these pigmentation is super awesome.

I am really impressed that a 99cent lipstick lasts as long as a more expensive lipstick. They last a few hours now, it but it fades quickly.

Swatches:-

Mink Brown is dark chocolate brown color, no shimmer or gloss at all. It si a cream finish lipstick and the texture is very smooth.

Retro Red is straight up red color gorgeous on any skin tone, one true red color with blue undertone, which will look good on anyone.

Blushing Bali is a peachy pink with slight shimmer. Super pretty and wearable for every day.

Retro Pink is pretty pink color with glossy finish as well.

Review and First Impression for NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels

Hi Girls,

Today I am reviewing something which I got to try it in Makeup Show Dallas 2015. These lipsticks are still not released yet, but I am so happy I got to try them and get it complimentary from NYX Cosmetics booth. If you want to know more about it keep reading, my first impression / review and swatches for NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in Kitten Heels.

When they will be released in Summer 2015, they will have 16 shades in this collection, but they will be permanent. It has a pretty range of colors, for spring and summer, with oranges, pinks and purples and also some dark red and berries which will be great for fall and winter time too. Chitra Pal NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels (1)

It has 0.13 Fl Oz/4 ml in a tube, which is good enough for a liquid lipstick. I love the packaging its so fancy specially the top of the cap looks like a diamond/jewel. The actual color of the lipstick can be seen from the packaging, but it can be different on different people, as it depends of the lip pigmentation and skin color. This one is pure red and will look good on all skin tones, it is one red color which everyone will like it.

Swatches:-
Chitra Pal NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels (2)

They are really intense and really pigmented and long lasting, set them and stay forever. There is a flat applicator on both sides, you definitely can get all lip in one go as it has  a lot on applicator. I would say apply a SPF lip balm before you apply this on your lips for summers, so that if you have dry lips, it does not settle in cracks or lines on your lips. When you apply on your lips , let it sit don't smoosh your lips, let it dry before you smoosh otherwise it comes out as uneven application. The texture after drying is a little sticky not smooth and I was ok with it.

The only downside I had was the smell, it smells like paint, but it goes away, it is not overpowering, until you open the tube and want to smell it.

I cannot say they are completely kiss proof, as I saw some color when I checked it, but not much.

Now coming to my first impressions, I applied this lipsticks at 8 am, in the morning, I ate drank in between, specially some oily food in lunch but it did not budge, it stayed put beautifully on my lips. It does not stain you lips, but I am so impressed with this application that it did not budge at all.

This color, I have Kitten Heels is pretty red, and I am a sucker of red matte lipsticks, believe me I have more red lipsticks then any other color. I did reapply in evening around 6 pm, as I had some girls night out party, and just wanted  to reapply again, and I also wanted to test if the reapplication is goopy or smooth. It goes on smoothly on touch ups.

I will totally recommend this lipsticks, to everyone and a big thumbs up to NYX Cosmetics for these liquid suede cream/matte lipsticks. Grab when they are released they have pretty fun colors in the collection. Actually you can mix together and get a different color and play around the colors.

I love formula on the NYX Matte Lipsticks, and I have few of them now, my favorite is Alabama, which I have reviewed it on my blog before. I didn't like soft matte lip cream though from NYX Cosmetics which I have reviewed them also on my blog.

So that's my review / first impression for this NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels. I hope you like them as much I do, please share your experience with me.

Cheers

Spring Favorites

This is the first time I decided to share my beauty favorites. I have been wanting to share these posts with you for along time, but I was not sure whether I should do monthly and seasonal favorites, so finally I decided to do this one to start with, what do you guys think?

I will try to post every month my favorite beauty products, hopefully I can keep up with it.

I am also going to do small mini reviews for them in these posts. These are just my opinion for these products, it can differ from all skin types.

Today I am going to share some of my Spring Favorites. When a new season begins to change your make-up routine is as important as re-arranging your closet for the new time. Independently of your skin type, the weather change affects all the beauty tools you use that maybe for winter were okay, but with the heat getting closer and the skin trying to moisturize by itself, new methods and products are needed.

One thing always happens with the change of warm weather is that make-up tends to soften a lot, while in winter a heavy foundation may stay intact, on spring-summer is hard to maintain, not to mention unnatural.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (7)

1. This season is where I use the most is BB/CC Creams, and if you want more coverage you can always mix 50/50 with your usual foundation. I use this L'Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder which is medium coverage foundation, but its perfect for spring and summer season. I am in shade Classic Ivory. I think they are discontinuing this line, its such an amazing foundation, If you find it better grab it now. I already have two backups.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (4)

2. I use this WetnWild Coloricon Bronzer in Reserve your Cabana as over all setting/ face powder. I know it’s a bronzer but I use it as face powder because its perfect shade for my skin tone. It has SPF 15 for  protection which is a great deal two in one product.

3. Pixi Color Corrector Concealer in Brightening peach. It’s a salmon peach color corrector which diminishes my purple/blue tone under eyes.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (8)

4. Milani Baked Blush in Delizioso Pink. It’s a perfect blue based pink matte bush without any shimmer. It has great pigmentation, is not powdery, and has a silky application with nice coverage. This is such a gorgeous blush. It looks really bright in the pan, but you can apply it lightly and it gives your skin a beautiful, natural glow. I have cool toned skin and this complements it so well. This looks so natural and really brightens up your face. Great staying power too.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (2)  Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (5)

5. Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips All-in-One Custom Palette for Face & Eyes in Natural Nude. I love using it as a highlighter on my cheeks and on my eyelid and inner corner. I also some of the shimmer shadows as overall eyelid color. Its such a great multipurpose product.

6. Rimmel Gel Eyeliner and Kate Moss Green Eye shadow stick in Green These are such long wearing eyeliners. This black eyeliner is my holy grail gel eyeliner. Its such a great easy wear liner. In Spring season I wear a lot of colorful liners too, this season have been using green color. I have been using green liner as lid color or tight line or lower lid.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (9)

7. Essence I love Extreme Crazy Volume Mascara. I really love this mascara. It gives great volume, length, and darkness. Clumps a little bit but not bad at all, the brush is good. I use it everyday and would definitely buy it again.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (15)

8. Epille Green Tea Cleanisng Tissues, These are amazing. They work really well and they're so cheap. They leave my face feeling so soft, and it removes all the oils, dirt, and makeup. It's also so amazing because  $1 for 30 wipes and $2 for 60 wipes, rather then having wipes around 5-7 dollars that don't even work. Plus it works for all skin types,it cannot beat that. I love that they come in variety of choices from cucumber, aloe, green tea, and others. I would totally buy these again.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (6)

9. Sexiest Fantasies body mist in Fireworks , its such a perfect body mist for spring season. Its pretty sensual odor. Its just $8 at CVS.

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (10)  Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (16)

10. Lipsticks:- This spring season I have got some new lipsticks in my stash and have been using them every day.

a. Jordana Matte it Girl

b. Milani Matte Passion

c. Milani Rose Hip

d. Milani Pretty Natural

e. Black Radiance Hibiscus

f. Maybelline Color Elixir in Rose Redefined

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (12)

11. Nail polishes In spring season I start using all bright orange , pink colors. This season I have mostly used these a lot. I have already posted a Manicure before using the lavender nail polish from Poparazi and glitter.

Forever 21 in purple Clear, WetnWild Blazed Poparazzi in Lovely in Liliac, Essie 1095, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Big Teal 325 , Essence Ultimate Pink , NYC Grand Central clear coat and Poparazi Cuticle Oil

Chitra Pal Spring Favorites 2015 (14)

12. Jergens BB Protect and BB Body, in spring don’t need any heavy sunscreen coats, just a sheer protections is good enough. I use this Jergens BB Protect cream which has SPF 15 which is good for over all body. It has sheer color like bb cream but does not change your skin color by any means. It smells really nice. I have already reviewed this on my blog, click here for detailed review.

13. Carmex Vanilla lip balm with spf 15, you always have to protect the lips also from sun. This is a perfect lip balm for spring, as it has sheer vanilla flavor.

Swatches ELF Studio Matte Lip Color Hot Commodity

Happy Saturday,
Today I am reviewing a lipstick which I received complimentary from ELF Cosmetics recently for participating in a contest #playbeautifully.
This lipstick from Elf Studio line which is for 3$ (0.06oz/1.8g), which is pretty affordable, drugstore brand, this is their professional makeup and cosmetics line.
This lip color is “Hot Commodity”, it’s a prefect shade for spring and summer.
It’s a perfect Coral lip color and is matte. Its such a smooth and creamy matte lipstick like any other from this line.
  • The enriched vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes
  • Packaging looks really high end.
  • Affordable
  • Formula is not drying like some matte lipsticks.
  • Very good Pigmentation
  • Moisturizing
  • Long Lasting ( had to touch up after 4-5 hours)
  • Daily Use
  • Even Application
  • Lightweight
  • Recommendation:- I would highly recommend this color, I don’t know if other colors have some formula or not, but I absolutely love this color. This is one of the lipsticks I'm actually very satisfied with. The color is bright and it stays on for a really long time.
Here are some lip swatches and product pictures.
I have reviewed one more lipstick from this line called Rich Red which is quite popular.
