Deyga Hair Serum – Liquid Gold

Is your hair dry and damaged too? You want something pure and natural which can protect and cover the hair shaft? The product I am reviewing today is an absolute wonder for your hair, a must try and it is from an Made in India brand, called Deyga Organics.

About Product – Deyga Hair Serum – Liquid Gold

Deyga Hair Serum COLORMECHITRA.blogspot.com

My Review upfront is as below, you can find the details for the product and brand right after.

Hair Serums are something which are very essential for your everyday hair care routine. I have three different ones, usually I keep on changing in between according to weather etc.

Talking about this Hair Serum, Liquid Gold. The ingredients attracted me so much that I had to try this and review it for you. I have dry and curly hair, which is not easy to manage by just simple shampoo and conditioner. I normally wash my hair with sulphate free shampoo and conditioner but still my hair becomes dry and unmanageable in between washes. For that every day I have to use Hair Packs or Hair serums to keep my hair well-conditioned and remove all fizziness from it.

Let me tell you I am very impressed with the quality of this hair serum. I have used it on dry hair without wash as well as after hair wash in damp hair. Both ways I didn’t find any problems of tangling or stickiness. It made my hair smooth and shiny right after application and remained the same way whole day. It does not have any funky smell, the bottle with dropper makes it so easy to apply on scalp. I don’t have to worry about spilling it anywhere else.

Deyga Hair Serum COLORMECHITRA.blogspot.com

This liquid gold serum is blended with pure 100% organic argan oil and other essential oils to promote new and healthy hair growth. It stimulates hair, from root to tip, and leaves the scalp feeling healthy, free from dryness and irritation.

It comes with price point of Rs. 750 for 30 ml / fl.oz. Its cruelty free, paraben free and sulphate free, no added colors or preservatives. It's totally handmade and natural. It has a shelf life for 8 months, which is really good.

Ingredients as mentioned on the bottle are 100% Organic Argan Oil, Jajoba Oil, Flax Seed and Carrot Seed Oil and goodness of Peppermint Essential Oil and Vitamin E Oil. I think the ingredients say all and that is why its name has Gold in it.

Argan Oil The powerful antioxidants and nourishing fatty acids in argan oil help keep your hair moisturized and protects against styling damage and damage caused by free radicals. This can result in less breakage and shedding.

Jajoba Oil moisturize your hair from the inside out. It can maintain your scalp's natural balance. It can control dandruff and encourage hair growth. It can repair damage from heat and styling.

Carrot Seed Oil Conditioning the hair with carrot oil is also said to improve its texture, making it shinier, smoother, and softer to the touch. Others who use carrot oil say it helps to prevent hair loss by making the roots stronger at the scalp.

Flax seed Oil the Vitamin E in flaxseed oil helps to treat hair loss and stimulate new hair growth. Lignans act as strong antioxidants which can help in the regrowth of healthier and stronger hair. Topical application of flaxseed oil prevents flaking and nourishes the scalp from within, providing relief from dandruff.

Peppermint Essential Oil Increasing circulation with a vasodilator like peppermint could potentially improve hair growth and prevent some hair loss. Peppermint menthol also imparts a freshened smell and tingly sensation on the skin and scalp. You can reap these benefits by adding the essential oil to your beauty products.

Pumpkin seeds consist of cucurbit in, a unique amino that may be responsible for hair growth. Apart from this, they also contain vitamin C that also plays a crucial role in hair growth. Apply pumpkin seeds oil on scalp to see the results or just consume a handful of them daily

Vitamin E Oil When applied topically to your hair, there's several purported benefits of using vitamin E oil: It can stimulate capillary growth in your scalp, with in turn supports hair growth; it prevents breakage and pesky split ends; its antioxidants even boost hair's elasticity and shine.

About Packaging and Application

The products arrived very nicely packaged. Each product is individually packed in cardboard boxes and inside they are bubble wrapped. The serum comes in dark glass bottle with a dropper, which I loved. I don’t like products coming in cheap plastic bottle, specially serums and face oils.

Deyga Hair Serum COLORMECHITRA.blogspot.com

This product comes with dropper so it makes very easy to apply directly to the scalp and will reach the roots after massaging. In this way you are not wasting any product by applying to your palms and then using it. Just take some liquid gold in the dropper, drop it on to the scalp and give a gentle massage for the serum to penetrate in.

How to Use the Inversion Method to Grow Hair?

Hi Girls,

Recently I have heard so much about Inversion Method to Grow your hair, so I did my research on this and found this step by step process which may help you girls too, who want to grow their hair and struggling with hair fall....hope this helps:)

Want to regrow hair or grow hair faster? One of the most popular ways to do this is through the inversion method. First, you apply oils to your scalp and then you hang your head upside down for a short period of time. Practitioners argue that the increased blood flow to your scalp reinvigorates dormant hair follicles, thus increasing growth. No scientific evidence exists that proves or disproves the inversion method's ability to regrow hair or to grow hair faster on normal scalps. For every success story touting the wonders of the inversion method, there is another debunking its claims. Doctors tend to explain purported results as the product of better hygiene and relaxation, not as the result of some miracle method. Either way, why not try it for yourself?

Part 1 of 2: Applying Oil to Your Head

1. Choose your oil. There is not one agreed upon oil for the inversion method. Try olive oil, coconut oil, grape seed oil, or Moroccan argon oil, if you want to use natural ingredients.

· Choose oil with an aroma that you find soothing. Since the inversion method incorporates massage, pick scented oil that you find relaxing.

2 Warm up oil. Warm up around 3-4 tbsp oil. Take a cup of hot water and place your oil bottle in it. You can get this water from the sink. Let the oil sit for a minute or so until it is warm to the touch. Your goal is to increase blood flow to your scalp. Warmer oil will increase the blood retention in your scalp cells. Do not overheat the oil. You don’t want to burn your scalp.

3 Apply oil to your scalp. If you’ve experienced hair loss, make sure that you cover your problem areas first, and then proceed to cover the remainder of your scalp. Make sure that you cover your entire scalp with a thin layer of oil. It doesn't take a lot of oil to achieve full coverage.

4 Comb the oil through the rest of your hair. If your hair tends to split or break, try to spread oil to all of your hair. Hair splits or breaks when it is short on moisture and nutrients. Natural oils will help replenish both.

    • If you have curly hair, be gentle or avoid this step altogether. You don’t want to pull out more hair in the process.

Part 2 of 2: Stimulating Your Hair Follicles

1 Massage gently. With the tips of your fingers, knead your scalp. Move your fingers in little circles - clockwise and then counterclockwise. Don't be afraid to use your palms in addition to your fingers. Your palms can apply pressure to a greater area at one time.

    • Focus on your problem areas, but don’t forget about the rest of your scalp. Do not massage too hard or you might unintentionally rip out hair or damage hair follicles. Massage for 4 minutes and then stop.

2 Tip your head upside down. You can do this over a sink or bathtub. Alternatively, you could choose to sit upside down in a chair with your legs over the back of the chair. No matter how you choose to do it, let your hair hang loosely and hold your head at a comfortable angle. Your goal is to find a comfortable position and to relax.

3 Hold this position for 4 minutes. This step allows the oils to seep further into your scalp and to bring blood to your scalp. Take deep breaths. Clear your mind. Relax. This step resembles meditation.

4 Sit back up. You don't want to remain upside down too long. It can cause an unhealthy spike in blood pressure.

    • Do not try the inversion method if you have low or high blood pressure, a detached retina, an ear infection, a spinal injury, heart problems, a hernia, or are pregnant. The inversion position itself could exacerbate your condition or cause further injury.

5. Consider leaving the oil on for a longer period of time. If you have an incredibly dry scalp, this might be a good decision. Some suggest leaving it in your hair for a couple of hours or even overnight.

    • Take a plastic bag and cover your hair so you don't get any oil on your clothes, furniture, or bed. You can use a normal grocery bad or purchase a plastic wrap meant for hair treatments. You can purchase these from any beauty shop.
    • If you decide to leave the oil in your hair for longer period of time, know that it could make your scalp and hair too oily. This could cause your follicles to clog up rather than grow new hair.

6 Wash your hair. Be sure to completely rinse out all the leftover oil. If you miss a spot, it will be far "greasier" than the other parts of your head. Make sure that you don’t use a harsh shampoo. Harsher shampoos (with a pH higher than 7) will strip your hair’s natural oils. Shampoos like L'Oreal EverCreme Intense Nourishing or Heads and Shoulders work well. Generally, any shampoo geared towards dry scalps has lower pH balances.

7 Repeat every 3-4 weeks. Depending on your personal condition, you might find it helpful to perform this treatment every 3 weeks. Repeated use at a higher frequency could make your hair too oily and may even clog your hair follicles, further reducing your hair growth potential.

    • Results will vary based on the person. Some may see results after the first use while others with more chronic follicle problems may not see results for several months.

So what do you think girls, are you going to give it a try? I will try this for sure. I have curly hair, and it does not grow that much. So I am definitely going to try this technique. But no technique works if you are stressed and do not eat or sleep well. Its all about taking care of you :)

Enjoy and Smile always:)

Home Remedies for Managing Curly Hair

Hi Girls,

Recently my friend shared this really interesting article from a website called TOP 10 Home Remedies

I have really curly hair, as many of you know already who follow me on my social media, must have seen my photos in that. After reading this article, I felt like sharing with all of you too, who have curly hair or who have someone in your friends and family with curly hair at your home too.

Naturally curly hair is due to the twisted shape of the hair follicle. More twists means more curls.
Curly hair is considered by many as both a blessing and a curse. Tell me about it:) sometimes I just want to straighten my hair for once, but then I am afraid of harsh chemicals which may destroy my hair. I have been struggling with this dilemma all my life, hope these remedies will help someone who has the same struggle. I love my curly hair, but its hard to manage and style sometimes. I have tried few of the methods below like hot oil massage and Fenugreek seeds, it helped me little, but you have to be quite regular for these, which I am not sometimes.

While curly hair can be voluminous, bouncy and beautiful, it can often be unruly, dry and very difficult to manage and style.

One of the biggest problems with curly hair is that it tends to frizz, especially when hit with humidity. Plus, it is more prone to split ends and breakage, and brushing can worsen this. So, the first rule for curly hair is to reduce the frizz and keep it well conditioned.

There are many hair care products in the market to smooth and soften frizzy curls. Such products will give you immediate results but, in the long run, they will do more harm to your hair than good. A preferable solution is some simple, natural home remedies that will help tame your curls and make your hair more manageable.
home remdies for curly hair
Here are the top 10 home remedies for managing curly hair.

1. Apple Cider Vinegar

To define your natural curls and prevent frizzing, the best remedy is apple cider vinegar. Its acidic nature will help maintain the natural pH level of your hair. This in turn will make your hair less frizzy and give it a great healthy shine. Plus, it will work as a natural hair clarifier and remove product buildup from your hair.
  1. Mix together equal amounts of apple cider vinegar and water.
  2. Shampoo your hair and use this solution as a hair rinse.
  3. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse with cool water.
  4. Follow this remedy once or twice per month.

2. Beer

Beer helps replenish moisture in your hair. Apart from revitalizing curls, it will also make your hair softer, shinier and more bouncy. For curly hair, it is recommended to use dark and non-alcoholic beer.
  1. Wash your hair with your regular shampoo and rinse with water.
  2. Slowly pour beer on your hair, making sure each strand gets coated.
  3. Let it sit in your hair for about five minutes so that it penetrates the hair shafts.
  4. Rinse your hair with cold water.
  5. Use this remedy once every two weeks.

3. Hot Oil Massage

A regular hot oil massage is important for curly hair as it is prone to drying. It will add moisture and help avoid fizzing. For this treatment, you can use olive, coconut or almond oil.
  1. Warm the oil for two to four minutes in the microwave.
  2. Allow the oil to cool to room temperature or until it is comfortably hot.
  3. Apply the oil and gently massage your scalp and hair, from root to top.
  4. Put on a shower cap and then wrap your head in a hot towel.
  5. Leave it on for one hour and then shampoo and condition your hair as usual.
  6. Repeat at least once a week.

4. Eggs

Eggs are another very popular home remedy for curly hair. The high protein and fat content in eggs helps add moisture and restore the health of your hair.
home remedy for managing curly hair
  • Whisk one egg and mix in two teaspoons of olive oil and one tablespoon of mayonnaise. Apply it on your hair and leave it on for about 30 minutes. Then wash your hair thoroughly with cold water.
  • Alternatively, mix one beaten egg, two tablespoons of olive oil and one-fourth cup of pureed cucumber. Massage this mixture into your hair from scalp to ends, then cover your hair with a shower cap. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then shampoo your hair.
Use either of these remedies once a week.

5. Avocado

Avocado is an effective remedy for curly hair. The moisturizing property of avocado will leave your curls hydrated, shiny and easier to manage.
  • Mix one mashed avocado and two tablespoons of yogurt to make a smooth creamy paste. Apply this paste on your hair and let it sit for about one hour. Then rinse it out and shampoo as usual.
  • Alternatively, mash a whole avocado into a paste and mix in a splash of olive oil. You can also add a little coconut milk. After shampooing your hair, apply this homemade mask. Let it sit for 30 minutes to one hour and then rinse thoroughly.
  • You can also make a paste of equal amounts of ripe banana and avocado. You can add one-half tablespoon of almond oil too. Massage it into your hair. Leave it on for 20 minutes and then wash your hair with your regular shampoo.
You can follow any of these remedies once or twice every week.

6. Fenugreek Seeds

An excellent herbal remedy for curly hair is fenugreek seeds. They have high levels of lecithin, which is an emulsifying agent. This helps lock in moisture to make your hair more flexible and block out humidity to decrease frizz and make your hair look fuller and curlier.
  1. Soak three to five tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water overnight.
  2. The next morning, grind the soaked seeds to make a thick paste.
  3. Mix three tablespoons of plain yogurt and one tablespoon of olive oil into the paste.
  4. Massage the paste onto the scalp and throughout your hair.
  5. Leave it on for at least one hour before rinsing it off with warm water and shampooing your hair.
  6. Repeat once or twice a week.

7. Aloe Vera

aloe vera gel
Aloevera smoothes the hair cuticle and promotes shine and moisture in hair. Plus, it has a high water and is loaded with 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids and several other nutrients, so it is also good for your hair’s overall health.
  • Massage fresh aloevera gel into your hair and scalp and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water and wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
  • Alternatively, prepare a paste with four tablespoons of aloe vera gel, two tablespoons of coconut oil and three tablespoons of plain yogurt. Apply this paste on your hair. Leave it on for about 30 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
Follow either of these remedies once or twice a week.

8. Carbonated Water

carbonated water
Another very simple remedy to define your curls and reduce frizz is carbonated or sparkling water, thanks to its low pH level. It also helps clarify your hair and makes it extra soft and shiny.
  1. Dilute some non-flavored carbonated water with an equal amount of plain water and set it aside.
  2. Shampoo your hair and rinse with plain water.
  3. Use the diluted carbonated water as a final rinse.
  4. Let your hair air dry.
  5. Follow this remedy a few times a week.

9. Honey

honey
Honey is a natural humectant that can help restore moisture to dry hair. This in turn will help manage your curly hair.
  1. Mix equal amounts of warm honey and extra-virgin olive oil or coconut oil.
  2. Massage this mixture into your hair from scalp to ends.
  3. Cover with a shower cap and leave it on for 30 minutes.
  4. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo.
  5. You can use this remedy once a week.

10. Hibiscus

hibiscus
Another excellent remedy for managing curly hair is hibiscus. The slippery juice of the hibiscus flower and leaves works as a natural hair conditioner. Plus, hibiscus seals the hair cuticles and helps stop hair breakage.
  1. Grind three to four hibiscus leaves and the petals of two flowers with a little water. You can also add dried hibiscus powder to make a fine paste
  2. Apply it all over your hair.
  3. Leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off with lukewarm water.
  4. The next day, shampoo your hair.
  5. Repeat this remedy once or twice a week for best results.
Additional Tips
  • Avoid using heat styling tools like flat irons and curling irons.
  • Do not wash your hair every day.
  • Use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type.
  • If you swim in a chlorinated pool regularly, use a clarifying shampoo and conditioner. Preferably, wear a swim cap or shower cap while swimming.
  • Apply conditioner starting about one inch away from the root and go all the way down to the tips of your hair. Do not use too much conditioner as this can make your hair look greasy.
  • Deep condition your hair at least once a week to keep it hydrated.
  • After each wash when your hair is slightly damp, detangle it with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb.
  • Avoid towel drying curly hair and do not use a hair dryer.
  • Get your hair trimmed every two months to prevent split ends.
These remedies and tips will help you achieve the bouncing, flowing, frizz-free curls you want.

Review for Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Shampoo, Conditioner and Strength Reconstructing Butter

Chitra Pal Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Shampoo and Conditioner

Today I am going to review a sample which I recently got in my “May-2014” Sample Source Box for Garnier Fructis “Damage Eraser” Shampoo, Conditioner and Strength Reconstructing Butter.

Chitra Pal Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Shampoo and Conditioner (8)

I have used Garnier Shampoo and Conditioner since really long now.

I have used Sleek and Shine and and Triple Nutrition. They worked really fine for me. I am really pleased and satisfied with them. Repurchased many times.

My review for this “Damage Eraser” line is that I did not have satisfying results. I was able to use this sample twice as I have very short curly hair. I don’t have color treated hair, and neither I have any damage from heat or any other chemicals. Maybe if I had color treated hair, or my hair was really damager because of some treatments, then I would have liked this, but I am not sure. When I use other Garnier shampoo, they make my hair really soft and after using conditioner, they become really soft and subtle no frizz. But this shampoo and conditioner gave me frizz and dry hair in one wash. I had to use hairband after my wash, to settle my hair. This shampoo is not for my hair type. I donot recommend this line to curly frizzy hair types.
