New York Colors Expert Last Traffic Jam

Hi Girlies,
Today I am reviewing another pretty lipstick from NYC, my favorite drugstore brand called Traffic Jam. Its perfect Holiday color, its such a beautiful lipstick color. Its bright red color. Its super creamy in texture.
Its is from their new 2014 collection called Expert Last Lip Color.  Basically my review for this lipstick almost remains same as my review earlier on two other colors.

New York Colors Expert Last Lip Color in Air Kiss 404

Hi Girlies,
Today I am reviewing another pretty lipstick from NYC, my favorite drugstore brand called Air Kiss. Its is from their new 2014 collection called Expert Last Lip Color.  I have done Review and Swatches on NYC (Expert Last ) 405 - Blue Rose (click on the link to see that).
Basically my review for this lipstick almost remains same.

This is dupe for Bite Lipstick in Palomino, EmilyNoel83 showed swatches side by side in her video“10 Drugstore Dupes for High End Lipsticks” , well this is very cheaper version of Bite.

Pros :-

1. Affordable
2. Very good Pigmentation
3. Moisturizing
4. Does stain your lips
5. Light purple undertones
6. Lightweight
7. Very good for all skin tones
8. Very creamy
9. Good for price
10. Love the Fruity smell

Review and Swatches on NYC (Expert Last Rogue A Leveres ) 405 - Blue Rose

 

I got this lipstick from Target recently was looking for perfect radiant orchid color from drugstore, and across this one. It is just for $ 1.99  for 0.11 oz/ 3.2g, you must have seen this from my last post of Spring Haul.

I have loved NYC since really long now, one of the best brands from Drugstores. 

Blue Rose 405- is a gorgeous fuchsia color/ in radiant orchid family (color of the year) perfect for spring and summers, dual chrome lipstick.

Some people might think it is little bold, but I think you can wear with one swipe and looks really pretty.

It has blue undertones, in sun it looks pink but when you wear inside with no sun, it looks like little purple, hard to describe, that is why in my next photo I have other lip swatches.

It can be a dupe for Show Orchid by MAC, this one is little light.

 

Pros :-

1. Affordable
2. Very good Pigmentation
3. Moisturizing
4. Does not stain your lips
5. Blue undertones
6. Lightweight
7. Very good from lighter skin tones
8. Very creamy
9. Good for price
10. Love the Fruity smell

Cons:-

1. Packaging is cheap
2. Be careful while closing the lid as some of it still hangs outside the tube when it is new.
3. Not long lasting, came out after I ate and had to reapply
4. Slight shimmery

Recommendation:-

I would totally rock this color this spring and summers, Would definitely recommend to buy this for price value. This is I think old color, came in new packaging, I am not sure about this.

How do I clean my Makeup brushes in affordable way at home?

 

I always clean my makeup brushes every month. Unhygienic/ dirty makeup brushes are number one cause for acne and germs.

Be in a habit of cleaning your brushes frequently without fail. I have even set a reminder in my phone to clean brushes every last Saturday of the month, so that they are dry and ready to use on Monday morning.

I use only three ingredients to clean my makeup brushes, I know many people use so many high-end products to clean their makeup brushes, but I am going to show you here how to clean your brushes in a inexpensive and affordable way. You can use any brand ingredients, whichever suits your pocket.

What you need:-

1. Extra Virgin Olive Oil for moisturizing effect, leaves your brushes so soft. I used Walmart brand, but you can use any brand
2. A tear free baby shampoo, I have used Parents Choice, with natural lavender (smells so good) but you can use any brand
3. A dishwasher soap (mild one) I have used Dawn with Olay, but you can use any brand
4. A clean towel.
5. A disposable bowl/ plate to mix all ingredients
6. Water
7. Antibacterial clean wipes.
8. And dirty Makeup Brushes

   

Steps:-

1. In a mixing bowl add 1 tbsp of olive oil, baby shampoo and dishwasher soap.
2. Clean your brushes one by one under Luke warm water. Wash only brush area not the handle.
3. Then dip the brush and swirl around the bowl one time, take it out and keep on swirling around in your palm/hand.
4. Keep it doing till you feel your brush is clean and wash it off under running luke warm water. If you feel you brush is still not clean dip in mixture again and wash it off.
5. For Beauty Blender after washing take another bowl, add water and keep the beauty blender in it and microwave it for 30 seconds, it will take off the bacteria from beauty blender.
6. Make sure you clean your eye lash curler also, it has germs too.
7. Eye brushes are washed at least twice as they have tons of products.
8. Keep them laying on a clean towel like shown in picture and keep on turning every 1 hour and reshape them with your hand.
9. It will take at least 24 hours to air dry them, do not use heat to dry them.
10. Before using just wipe the handles with antibacterial, clean wipes.

I don’t have many brushes, but still I do take care of them regularly, and by doing this your brushes are squeeky clean no germs, no acne, all set…..girls

Spotted Elf Products at Walmart

 

Recently I spotted, ELF products at Walmart in Irving,TX.

There were some makeup brushes, very famous bronzer and blush duo and some eye makeup palettes. But unfortunately the price was not less than target, it was just same.

ELF cosmetics, are mostly found in Target and Walgreens, otherwise you can order them online at http://www.eyeslipsface.com/.

In case you don’t know about them then they are pretty affordable drugstore brand, many of their products are such high quality like other high-end products. If you are on budget, you can always opt for these cosmetics.

If you do know anything about it, please let us know too. Some of my followers told me that they have ELF at their Walmart since a year now. I hope we get some more products here too.

Review on e.l.f. Studio Matte Lip Color in Rich Red

Hi Girls, as most of you know we have a very affordable line of cosmetics called E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face). They have so many great products starting from as low as $1, just $1. They can be found at Target, Walgreens and ordered online too at http://www.eyeslipsface.com/
But today I am going to review lipstick from Elf Studio line which is for 3$ (0.06oz/1.8g), which is pretty affordable, drugstore brand, this is their professional makeup and cosmetics line.
They have six colors in this lipstick

1. Coral
2. Natural
3. Tea Rose
4. Praline
5. Nearly Nude
6. Rich Red

I am reviewing on Rich Red today, I picked up this from Target recently as I love red color and love matte.
     
 
 
Pros:-

• The enriched vitamin A, C & E formula moisturizes
• Packaging looks really high end.
• Affordable
• Formula is not drying like some matte lipsticks.
• Very good Pigmentation
• Moisturizing
• Long Lasting ( had to touch up after 4-5 hours)
• Daily Use
• Even Application
• Lightweight
• True blue tone red
• Convenient jumbo sized lip pencil
• Hydrates lips for beautiful healthy looking lips.
• You can line the lips and fill in with this , no need to use lip liner.

Cons:-

• Somehow my twisting end came off after two uses, but I could fix it again back.
• Different from color on container end.
• Does not stain.

Recommendation:- I would highly recommend this color, I don’t know if other colors have some formula or not, but I absolutely love this color. This is one of the lipsticks I'm actually very satisfied with. The color is bright and it stays on for a really long time.
