Some really great benefits of using cucumber for skin:-

  2. Cucumber can clear and maintain your complexion , effectively circumventing pimples and blackheads.
  3. Its juice is an astringent that lightens facial skin and it open pores which is essential for cleanliness.
  4. It has been used as a remedy for sunburn issues as it has high water and nutrient content, it can nourish the skin and expedite the healing process. And also it has cooling effect so it will help to get rid of pain really fast.

Some benefits using rose water for skin :-

  • Rose water acts as a natural facial cleanser.
  • It helps to remove the tan and dirt on face.
  • Daily cleaning the face with this water helps to makes our face soft and glow very naturally.
  • To keep the glow on face - Wash face with rose water, while going outside.
  • Using of rose water helps to keep away from unwanted oil, redness & impurities on face.
  • Habituate the rose water applying to the face. This will minimize the pores by removing dust in them and also helps to reduce the wrinkles.
  • It can also used as a makeup remover to remove the makeup on face.
  • Using of this water will helps to reduce the dryness and peeling skin on face.
  • Adding the rose water in the facial mask instead of water will clean and removes the dirt on face as a cleanser.

I always buy a big bottle of Rose water from Indian Store at just $2 and I transfer half of it in my spray bottle and mix with little water and keep it in my fridge and use a toner or refresher on my face. I always carry it with me in my purse if I go to beach or out for long day.

3$ - DIY Lipstick holder from recycled Toothpaste pack

Chitra Pal Lipstick Holder DIY 2

Hi Girls, In this post I am going to show you how you can make your own lipstick holder with recycled toothpaste pack. I know, I also never thought I will be doing this, but actually I was in search of inexpensive lipstick holder as my lipstick collection was growing. I watched many YouTube videos for this DIY, but they all used recycled cardboards for it, but one day when I was throwing away all my recycled boxes I found perfect size for all my lipsticks and I decided to make this DIY. If you like it please share with your friends and family.

You will need

  1. Duck Tape 3-4 $ from craft store /walmart /dollar store
  2. Recycled Toothpaste pack.

Steps:- As shown in the picture just take any tooth paste pack, and cut in open rectangle shape. Secure both corners with scotch tape and attach the dividers in between and cover with your desired duck tape and you are finished.

This is so easy inexpensive / cheap to make your own lipstick holder at home. It is made in no time, it took me just 15 minutes. You can arrange the lipsticks according to your style, your most used ones in front or mix and match like I did. It store around 18-19 lipsticks which is enough for me. You can make more than one to store lipsticks according to colors or brands.

DIY your own Tinted Lip Balm

DIY CHITRA PAL LIP TINT (10)

Since so many days, I have been thinking to buy reddish color lip balm for me, but I could not find the right color, or the quality for lip balm is not good.

This encouraged me to use my favorite lip balm and favorite lipstick color which is red and make my own Tinted Lip balm as DIY. I hope you enjoy this DIY and make your own too.

For this DIY ,  I used one small sample size for red lipstick which I had, which I was not to use often as I was too scared of breaking it and the cap keeps on falling if I carry in my travel bag. So I decided to use this lipstick with my favorite lip balm Soft Lips which has SPF 20 and it will protect me in summers. You can use any brand you want.

For this you can just need

  1. One Lip balm/chap stick ( clear ) use any brand which suits you.
  2. One Lipstick, which you cannot use or you like.
  3. Olive oil, is a natural cure for your chapped or dry lips.
  4. A spoon or toothpick to mix and a mixing bowl (microwave safe) or big spoon.

Step by Step Directions with Images

  1. In a mixing bowl, scoop out all of your lip balm, don't worry we will fill it in again afterwards.
  2. Scoop out your favorite lipstick for color.
  3. Put very little  1/4 tsp of olive oil.
  4. Put the mixing bowl in a microwave or you can also heat with candle also. If you are heating the mixture with candle, don’t use mixing bowl just use a big spoon for mixture and put the spoon over the candle, it will take little bit more time then microwave.
  5. Let the mixture melt and mix them well with a tooth pick.
  6. Now with the help of small spoon or filter scoop the mixture back in your empty lip balm tin or bottle.
  7. Clean the bottle from outside and keep it in freezer for five minutes or in fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Now you very own tinted lip balm is ready to use.

Below are the step by step pictures and a hand and lip swatch for you. If you decide to make you own, make sure you tag me a photo on my social networks.
