Today I am reviewing another pretty lipstick from NYC, my favorite drugstore brand called Air Kiss. Its is from their new 2014 collection called Expert Last Lip Color. Perfect Fall winter color.

Pros :-

1. Affordable
2. Very good Pigmentation
3. Moisturizing
4. Does stain your lips
5. Light purple undertones
6. Lightweight
7. Very good for all skin tones
8. Very creamy
9. Good for price
10. Love the Fruity smell
11. It is just for $ 1.99  for 0.11 oz/ 3.2g,

Cons:-

1. Packaging is little cheap
2. Be careful while closing the lid as some of it still hangs outside the tube when it is new.

Swatches for New York Colors nailpolish–Purple Pzzazz Frost 133 and Fun and Easy Back to School Nailart- Part I

Happy Sunday Girls,
For this Week I am painting my nails with this beautiful color called Purple Pizzazz 133 from NYC Long Wearing nail color. It’s a beautiful color from a deep purple family. It has some pink undertones to it. It is not opaque in once coat, goes on very light, and then you need at least three coats after base coat to get the desired opaqueness. I liked this color, it is perfect color for fall. But you can wear year round too.


Fun and Easy Back to School Nail art

I decided to do a little bit of fun and easy flower nail art on middle finger. Nothing fancy just a basic flowers and polka dots using another orange nail polish buy you can use any other color also.

I use dotting told for this nail art, but you can use a toothpick or bobby pin or a makeup brush.
This is such an easy and no time consuming nail art, anyone can do it so easily. You can alternate design on all fingers also. I am not a pro in this nail art, but I just want some fun rather than just painting all your fingers in one color.

Just paint the finger in white color nail polish and using a dotting tool, make four dots close to each other, like a flower and then when it dries little bit draw a small circle in middle of the fur dots which will look more like a proper flower shape. Cover the empty space with small polka dots or you can leave blank too. Like I said it is completely optional to you in whatever way you want to create fun with your nail art.

Quick and Easy Summer Dotting Tool NailArt–using New York Colors

Hi Girls, This week I used amazing colors from New York Colors for Quick and Easy Summer Dotting Tool NailArt. Hope you like it.

Last week I posted a post on my Instagram (cateyedamsel) got some more nail polishes, oh yes who does not need more nail polishes, total nail polish junkies, like me…

So I decided to do a quick nail art, inspired by my favorite pink purple dress, nothing fancy very simple and basic. I used these three colors from my all time favorite brand New York Colors:-

1. New York Colors, Long Wearing 142 Preppy Pink
2. New York Colors, In New York Minute in 247 Prince Street
3. New York Colors, In New York Minute in 276 Big City Dazzle ( it has tiny pink, purple and teal glitter)

Neutral / Nude Nails for Interviews or Everyday Office wear

I love this NYC color in “Fashion Safari 201”, perfect nude/ neutral shade for work or interviews. This is one shade which is no nail color nail color look, it does not show up that much and it looks so pretty and natural nails like freshly painted manicure from high end saloon.

Looks like you are wearing very high-end nail polish, but it is just $1.99, and sometimes you can find on sale , I really get lot of compliments when I wear this nail polish.

I have topped with “Sally Hansen Nail Growth Miracle” in “Misty Rose 155”, it is like sheer smallest glitter with clear light nude pink top coat. I used Pure Ice base coat to protect my nails.

Sometimes I just wear this shade alone on my nails when you are wearing lot of makeup.

Waterfall/swoosh nail art- with Fan Brush

Happy May guys, I was inspired with Miss Jenfablous for this tutorial, I just used this only on one nail with a fan brush, but you can use this design on all nails.

Nail Polishes used:-

1. Pure Ice – 1067 Bottom Line Base Coat
2. Sally Hansen nailgrowth Miracle – Clearly Quick top coat
3. NYC Long wearing – 147 Lexington Lilac 
4. LA Colors NP392 Amethyst
5. WetnWild Fast Dry – 232C FuchsiaRama
6. WetnWild Fergie A003 Gold Album
7. A fan brush,  Essence Fan brush
8. Q-tips and Nail polish remover
9. Sally Hansen Vitasurge Cuticle Gel

Step by Step Directions with Images:-

1. Always protect your nails with base coat.
2. After the base coat dries, paint your nails as lilac color nail polish.
3. With fan brush, strike pink and then purple stripes. Then top with little golden stripes. Use aluminum foil to add some color like shown, this way you will not dry out your nail polishes.
4. For lasting wear clear / fast drying top coat.
5. Remove the excess nail polish on your fingers or around nails with Q tip and nail polish remover.

My first ever Pastel Rainbow Nail collab–using Tie Die Nail Art technique

 

This was my fist ever collab with 51 participants who collaborated to have this spring collab. I think I did a good job for first time, hope you guys like it too.

My Solo shot, on this weekend I posted this photo of my solo shot in instagram (@cateyesdamsel), below is I am going to explain how I did this nail art. Its called Tie Die Nail Art for which you just need several colors of rainbow.

Nail Polishes used:-

1. Pure Ice – 1067 Bottom Line Base Coat, 1085 One Stop Shop 3 in 1 for top coat
2. Sally Hansen Xtreme wear– 401 Perky Pink
3. NYC Long wearing – 147 Lexington Liliac, 153 Midtown Mimosa, 112 Times Square, 152 Tudor City Teal 
4. WetnWild 232C  Fuchsiarama and white nail polish, French white crème
5. Rimmel Blue my Mind 240
6. Nail Art  luxe Gem wheel and rhinestone picker pencil. (optional)
7. Nail dotting tool or bobby pin
8. Q-tips, nail brush and Nail polish remover
9. Plastic strips ( any grocery bag cut in strips)

Step by Step Directions with Images:-

1. Always protect your nails with base coat.
2. Paint all your nails white color as base, and let it dry completely before doing this rainbow art.
3. On Ring finger with dotting tool, paint  small random dots on with different colors, mentioned above like shown in picture.
4. On all other fingers (index, middle and pinky)we are going to do tie die nail art with two colors as shown.
5. Trick to do Tie Die nails:-
   1. Pick any two colors for each nail.
   2. Place two dots with those colors and place the plastic on the finger carefully.
   3. Press the colors so that they combine and spread across the nail, as shown.
   4. Carefully remove the plastic shade
   5. Let it dry completely. If there is some color not spread, correct with nail polish.
6. For thumb nail we are going to use all colors with same technique.
7. After it dries add the nail gem as shown.
8. For lasting wear clear / fast drying top coat.
9. Remove the excess nail polish on your fingers or around nails with Q tip, nail art brush with nail polish remover.

I know it turns out little messy, but after cleaning the cuticles and when it dries it will look very beautiful trust me.
