Review and First Impression for NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels

Hi Girls,

Today I am reviewing something which I got to try it in Makeup Show Dallas 2015. These lipsticks are still not released yet, but I am so happy I got to try them and get it complimentary from NYX Cosmetics booth. If you want to know more about it keep reading, my first impression / review and swatches for NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in Kitten Heels.

When they will be released in Summer 2015, they will have 16 shades in this collection, but they will be permanent. It has a pretty range of colors, for spring and summer, with oranges, pinks and purples and also some dark red and berries which will be great for fall and winter time too.

It has 0.13 Fl Oz/4 ml in a tube, which is good enough for a liquid lipstick. I love the packaging its so fancy specially the top of the cap looks like a diamond/jewel. The actual color of the lipstick can be seen from the packaging, but it can be different on different people, as it depends of the lip pigmentation and skin color. This one is pure red and will look good on all skin tones, it is one red color which everyone will like it.

Swatches:-

 They are really intense and really pigmented and long lasting, set them and stay forever. There is a flat applicator on both sides, you definitely can get all lip in one go as it has  a lot on applicator. I would say apply a SPF lip balm before you apply this on your lips for summers, so that if you have dry lips, it does not settle in cracks or lines on your lips. When you apply on your lips , let it sit don't smoosh your lips, let it dry before you smoosh otherwise it comes out as uneven application. The texture after drying is a little sticky not smooth and I was ok with it.

The only downside I had was the smell, it smells like paint, but it goes away, it is not overpowering, until you open the tube and want to smell it.

I cannot say they are completely kiss proof, as I saw some color when I checked it, but not much.

Now coming to my first impressions, I applied this lipsticks at 8 am, in the morning, I ate drank in between, specially some oily food in lunch but it did not budge, it stayed put beautifully on my lips. It does not stain you lips, but I am so impressed with this application that it did not budge at all.

This color, I have Kitten Heels is pretty red, and I am a sucker of red matte lipsticks, believe me I have more red lipsticks then any other color. I did reapply in evening around 6 pm, as I had some girls night out party, and just wanted  to reapply again, and I also wanted to test if the reapplication is goopy or smooth. It goes on smoothly on touch ups.

I will totally recommend this lipsticks, to everyone and a big thumbs up to NYX Cosmetics for these liquid suede cream/matte lipsticks. Grab when they are released they have pretty fun colors in the collection. Actually you can mix together and get a different color and play around the colors.

I love formula on the NYX Matte Lipsticks, and I have few of them now, my favorite is Alabama, which I have reviewed it on my blog before. I didn't like soft matte lip cream though from NYX Cosmetics which I have reviewed them also on my blog.

NYX Matte lipstick in Alabama MLS07

 
As you all know by know I am big fan of matte lipsticks, I always want to buy some red color and if it is matte its the best deal for me. So I have heard a lot about this #NYX Matte Lipstick ranges. I decided to pick the famous one, which is Red called #Alabama #MLS07 which is amazing blue-based dark red.
This is clearly a matte shade, and very pretty red color. This is something you can wear to transform normal work day to date night or girls night out or just for normal office party.Gorgeous red matte color, incredibly pigmented. These lipsticks are wonderful and inexpensive around $6.50 in CVS depending on location.It apply evenly on your lips and are long-lasting. Alabama is a vibrant dark red lasted 5-6 hours with minimal touch-up after eating. Would totally recommend this color to everybody, one red everybody should own.

NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream

 

Hi Girls,

Recently you saw I posted small haul drugstore haul photo on my Instagram. I got two NYX Cosmetics Soft Matte Lip Cream in Addis Ababa and Milan. They were buy one get 50% off in CVS during that week, it was for $6.29 and the other one was for $3.14 I did not have any NYX in my collection and I have heard a lot about these, so I decided to get two mates, as I love matte lipsticks. I used them both one by one during my work days. Below is my review and swatches for both. I also listed some similar shades I have in my collection. I am not claiming as exact dupes, but they are similar shades. You can choose the similar shades if you don’t have these NYX Matte cream.

 

Review for NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams

1. They cost around $6.50 depending upon location you are buying. For drugstore lipsticks they are of similar price with Maybelline, Revlon and Loreal.
2. They are very light weight matte cream lipsticks and smells like vanilla.
3. The doe foot applicator isn't hygienically ideal, but makes for simple and great for on the go application. 
4. The texture is a velvety cream with an apparent silicone feel that disappears when dry.
5. It's important to exfoliate and moisturize lips before application otherwise it will settle in your fine lines or cracks.
6. There are very pretty colors available in whole line suiting all skin tones.
7. They are around 0.27fl oz. 8ml in size, good for having them in your collection.
8. They are very convenient containers to carry them in your purse or on your vanity.
9. The containers are very true to color very well pigmented.
10. They are kind of even application, you have to swipe at least twice for getting them evenly distributed on your lips.
11. They don’t last for long, you may have to touch even after coffee or water.
12. It does not stain, but completely wears off if you eat or drink.

They are not at all long lasting. I will not recommend to my friend if you already have mattes in your collection, you can pass it on this line. I didn’t really care for them, I think Revlon matte lip crayons are also similar to this range or you can always choose wet n wild mega last lipsticks which are pure matte’s but little dry.

Wet n Wild is around $2.99 and NYX Soft Matte Lip cream one is around $6.50 depends on your location you are buying. Also you can buy both in less price during weekly drugstore sales/deals.
