Milani Amore Matte Lip Crème Collection -Limited Edition

Hello Beauties,
Today I am going to review one of the most talked about liquid matte lipsticks, but they are limited edition. Make sure you run by your CVS or Walgreens to find them quickly as they are going out fast as I totally recommend them. They are 8 colors in this collection, from nude to really bold colors, these shades look on different skin tones.

I was skeptical to pick these as I had bad experience with liquid matte lipsticks  with few other brands. But there was so much hype about it, so I decided to pick them. I picked 5 colors 01 Crush, 03 Beloved, 04 Lust, 06 Desire and 07 Romance. They were around $7 in CVS (downtown Dallas), which is little higher but I have seen on  social media people got them at around $5.99 too, which is quite affordable. I love Milani Matte color statement lipsticks as they are cruelty free and they are highly pigmented and various colors in it which you pick according to you liking.
 
Now lets talk about these Amore Matte Lip Crème, they are in the same tube like they had lip gloss before. The tube has golden cap which feels like luxury product. It has flat applicator on both sides which makes it easier to apply on lips. But be careful the applicator does not have too much product on it. It can go out of control and can come out of lines very easily.
It has really sweet candy kind of fragrance . I still don't know which candy, trying to figure out:) but it goes away after some time, it did not bother at all to me.
They are really pigmented and budge proof, kiss proof. I would say that they are perfectly doing all the claims as mentioned on their website, but it did not last for me after lunch, I had normal sandwich that day and it came off, I have shown in swatch below. It is easy to reapply does not go patchy.

Like I said I will recommend to everyone who are looking for budget friendly and drugstore options for liquid matte lipsticks. They are worth the hype, grab before they are gone as they are limited edition.

Review and First Impression for NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels

Hi Girls,

Today I am reviewing something which I got to try it in Makeup Show Dallas 2015. These lipsticks are still not released yet, but I am so happy I got to try them and get it complimentary from NYX Cosmetics booth. If you want to know more about it keep reading, my first impression / review and swatches for NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick in Kitten Heels.

When they will be released in Summer 2015, they will have 16 shades in this collection, but they will be permanent. It has a pretty range of colors, for spring and summer, with oranges, pinks and purples and also some dark red and berries which will be great for fall and winter time too.

It has 0.13 Fl Oz/4 ml in a tube, which is good enough for a liquid lipstick. I love the packaging its so fancy specially the top of the cap looks like a diamond/jewel. The actual color of the lipstick can be seen from the packaging, but it can be different on different people, as it depends of the lip pigmentation and skin color. This one is pure red and will look good on all skin tones, it is one red color which everyone will like it.

Swatches:-

 They are really intense and really pigmented and long lasting, set them and stay forever. There is a flat applicator on both sides, you definitely can get all lip in one go as it has  a lot on applicator. I would say apply a SPF lip balm before you apply this on your lips for summers, so that if you have dry lips, it does not settle in cracks or lines on your lips. When you apply on your lips , let it sit don't smoosh your lips, let it dry before you smoosh otherwise it comes out as uneven application. The texture after drying is a little sticky not smooth and I was ok with it.

The only downside I had was the smell, it smells like paint, but it goes away, it is not overpowering, until you open the tube and want to smell it.

I cannot say they are completely kiss proof, as I saw some color when I checked it, but not much.

Now coming to my first impressions, I applied this lipsticks at 8 am, in the morning, I ate drank in between, specially some oily food in lunch but it did not budge, it stayed put beautifully on my lips. It does not stain you lips, but I am so impressed with this application that it did not budge at all.

This color, I have Kitten Heels is pretty red, and I am a sucker of red matte lipsticks, believe me I have more red lipsticks then any other color. I did reapply in evening around 6 pm, as I had some girls night out party, and just wanted  to reapply again, and I also wanted to test if the reapplication is goopy or smooth. It goes on smoothly on touch ups.

I will totally recommend this lipsticks, to everyone and a big thumbs up to NYX Cosmetics for these liquid suede cream/matte lipsticks. Grab when they are released they have pretty fun colors in the collection. Actually you can mix together and get a different color and play around the colors.

I love formula on the NYX Matte Lipsticks, and I have few of them now, my favorite is Alabama, which I have reviewed it on my blog before. I didn't like soft matte lip cream though from NYX Cosmetics which I have reviewed them also on my blog.

Milani Lip Intense Liquid color were released in 2014 Spring season.

    

Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color ($6.49) have the formula if a lightweight liquid lipstick with a velvety matte finish. There are four colors in this line, I only picked up one Violet Addict,  perfect for spring season. But there are other colors  too 01 Red Extreme, 02 Pink Rave, 03 Fiery Coral .

My overall review is I really liked the formula for these liquid lipsticks, but there are many other brands who make liquid lipsticks like that. So does this one is price worthy, what is different? Well in my opinion, its no different from all those liquid lipsticks, but don’t confuse them with lipgloss. They are just lipsticks in a lipgloss kind of tube. Milani formulated them with pure pigment so they are extra loud and bright with the full coverage of a lipstick but the thin, lightweight consistency of a gloss.

There is a doe foot applicator, which makes it easy and lets it control to color the lip. Apply lip gloss with the wand’s soft tip applicator by starting in the center of your upper lip and work your way to the outer edges. Same technique applies for your bottom lip.  Tip: To extend the wear of your lip color and prevent bleeding, trace over your natural lip line with Anti-Feathering Lipliner and fill in you lips before applying color.

10 Lipstick Rules To Live By from Marie Claire

This post is for all lipsticks addicts like me:)


The perfect pout doesn't have to be a one time thing. Follow these easy steps to keep your lipstick game top notch.
1. Treat your lips like you would your face. Remove makeup, exfoliate, moisturize. Repeat.

2. Timing is everything. If you're having casual drinks or dinner with your friends before a big night out, wait to put on your lipstick. You won't constantly be worrying about messing it up while you eat (which is the worst).

3. When playing up your lips, keep your eye makeup minimal. Makeup is like a balancing act, pick one feature and go big.

4. Find the right color. Not all hues are created equal, at least for you. Different skin tones work better with different shades, so try a bunch on and choose wisely—a good lipstick is a forever kind of thing.

5. Use a primer. Think super staying power through your meetings, lunch, and happy hour drinks. We recommend NARS Instant Line & Pore Perfector.

6. Liner can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Find the right lip liner and it'll stop your lipstick from feathering throughout the day. Choose the wrong color, and you're channeling Gwen Stefani circa 1997. Our advice? Go for a clear lip pencil—it's silky smooth and compliments every lip shade. We recommend Merle Norman Clear Lip Pencil.

7. Start in the middle. Begin applying lipstick at the center of your lips and move outward. That way, you'll be less shaky when it comes to the outer lines of your lips. Less shaky = less mistakes.

8. Highlight along your cupids bow. As well as along the middle of your lower lip. The small touch will reflect light and make your lips look nice and plump. We recommend YSL Touche Eclat.

9. Take it off before you go to sleep. The only bad thing about having a clean, white pillowcase? That baby is a lipstick magnet.

Swatches for Essence Cosmetics - Stay Matt Lip Cream in - Silky Red 04

 

This one is the last in my stay matt lip cream collection from essence cosmetics, I am not sure if they have 03, I just have 01, 02 and 04

My two recent posts are other shades in this line (01 and 02), please have a look. For just $2.99 a great matte/satin lipstick for matt lipstick sucker/ addicts. I got these from HEB Stores in Austin, I am not sure if they have these store anywhere, but you can also find them in ULTA or online on Essence website, I think some of my friend told me its available in Canada also.. You can get them from Germany otherwise, if you have any friends there

4. The consistency is definitely very creamy, it feels very smooth on the lips.
5. It did not dry on my lips, I always use lip balm underneath, so may it helped.
6. Long lasting around four hours.Smooth Berry in same line does stain, but this one does not.
7. I personally think the Essence Stay Matt lip creams are great.  If you can get your hands on them, definitely check them out.

Review and Swatches for Essence Cosmetics - Stay Matt lip cream - in 01 Velvet Rose

I got this lipstick from Ulta long back 4 months ago, but somehow I lost in my drawer and when I found it, I decided to swatch and post it for you. It was $2.99 in Ulta and I think this is the price for this matt lipstick in other stores also. I am sucker for matt lipsticks, so I keep on searching new matt everywhere. They come in 3 more shades, 02 Smooth Berry, 03 Soft Nude, and 04 silky red .
I have 3 , will be posting the swatches for other 2 soon. They are very similar for NYX Soft Matt Lip cream which I didn’t find great, but I love these, they are cheap and better quality then NYX ones. I would totally recommend these over NYX.

Wet n Wild Fergie Vicious Varnish Highshine Lip Stain in - Throwing Shade A310

Hi Girls,
Today I am reviewing WetnWild Fergie Vicious Varnish highshine lipstain in Throwing Shade, I bought recently from Walgreens during weekly sales when it was 25% off on some WetnWild products. I got this shade because I was looking for this deep grape purple shade for sometime, and I heard good reviews about these lipstains when they came out new. They came out some months back in early 2014. They were price as around $3.50 for 0.17oz. depends on location you are buying, and if it is on sale, its good bargain. They are 10 shades.

Review
Pros

1. Price for size is really good for drugstore.
2. Highly pigmented
3. True to color of packaging.
4. Very light texture and glossy.
5. The applicator is a flat, dual-sided soft sponge, which works really nicely.
6. Stain lightly to your lips.
7. Feels very moisturizing on your lips.
8. No strong scent
9. Long lasting, for more than 4 hours.
10. Does not feel cakey or heavy or drying at all.

Cons

1. Does not stain so much.
2. Not evenly distributed with applicator, it looses control ad feathers very easily while applying.
3. Hard to get off, from lips, clumped little bit and filled my crack and liens on lips.

Overall Review
I would recommend this to my friends, some shades are really nice to try. Good for price value, very moisturizing and lasts a long time, eating and drinking. The texture is so nice, are light and hydrating. They are very glossy and comfortable.

Review and Swatches for Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Lip Color

Recently I posted a photo on Instagram that during a small haul from, Walgreens I picked up two Liquid Lip Color from Wet n Wild Megalast line called MEGA LAST® LIQUID LIP COLOR They were around $4 each from Walgreens. I picked up two beautiful colors called 931A High Pitched Wine and 928A Pocketful of Roses. Here are the close up pictures for same. There 13 colors in total.

I recently used one for full 9 hours and here is my review and swatches for same. For second one I have just included only hand swatch, but as soon I will use it, I will post a picture with it on my instagram.
Pocketful of Roses 928A
   
Here is the close photo for the applicator, it has pretty long applicator, easy to use while applying lip color on lips.
  
Swatch of 928A shows clearly that it has tiny silver shimmer in the lip color. It dries pretty quick, feels liquidy first.
      
 
My lip swatches shows it gives beautiful color on lips. I scrubbed my lips before and wore a moisturizing lip balm, because I got to know that it is drying after some seconds. Even after 8 hours, after eating lunch and drinking water whole day, it stayed well with color, but in last it started drying so much that it had little specks of glitter and dry lip color filled my lines over lip.
You definitely have to use a very good moisturizing lip balm for this and scrub it before and after use. This will stay put for 6-7 hours with color. The glitter or specs of glitter whatever you want to say was very uncomfortable feel for me.I could actually feel the specs when I rubbed my lips together. I was personally very uncomfortable but maybe if you like glitter you will have no problem with it.

High Pitched Wine 931A
    
Second color I got was Hight Picthed Wine 931A. The applicator looks same, and this is without any glitter specs. It is dark wine color with brown undertone.
 
   
My overall review on this will be:-

• Affordable long wearing lip color
• Not a lip gloss, it is liquid lip color
• Formula is thick
• Does not transfer (smooch proof)
• It stains
• Feels very moisturizing and wet at first, dries within seconds
• Have to use good moisturizing lip balm before and after
• Scrub your lips before and after
• Stays very long time for around 6-7 hours (with all eating and drinking)
• Uncomfortable with specs of glitter
• Very drying at end
• Can be compared to Rimmel Lip Lacquers, if you are on budget and want something long lasting for a date or party, will recommend this.
• It is around 4$ not cheap, for wetnwild, can buy other drugstore liquid lip color in this range too like NYC, Bonne Bell

As they claim it is built-in moisturizer provides one-step application for weightless, ultra-conditioning, I don’t think this is true. I am sorry WetnWild I love you and your mega last line, but this one I never liked it.
