St Patrick Day–Design 3 Simple nail art with scotch tape

This is a very simple nail art design for beginners, who are just trying out new things in nail art. In this design I have used the scotch tape for nail art .

Chitra-Pal-StPATRICK-1_thumb6

Nail Polishes used :-

  1. NYC Long Wearing - 152Tudor City Teal
  2. NYC Long Wearing - 112 Times Square Tangerine Creme
  3. Pure Ice 1067 as Base Coat
  4. Sally Hansen Nail growth Miracle as top coat.

Steps :-

  1. After applying base coat, apply two cats of green color on all nails except accent nail with orange color.
  2. Make sure your coats are totally dry before you use scotch tape for your nail art on accent nail.
  3. After drying apply scotch tape on your nail, cut in a certain design, here I have used a small triangle and apply the color, in this tiny triangle space.
  4. Take out the scotch tape when the nail polish is still wet.
  5. Apply Top coat for securing your manicure.

This design is for those girls who want to try a very simple nail art design, and you can use this scotch tape on all nails or only one two nails, according to your comfortable level with nail art. Here the only important thing to remember is don’t use scotch tape on wet nails, otherwise it will ruin your design and remember you can choose any other brand and create this look.

Enjoy this easy nail artSmile

Steps :-

1. After applying base coat, apply two cats of this beautiful dark green nail polish. Let it dry.

2. After drying apply chunky glittery nail polish only on accent nail. In this design, also the glitter is not overpowering the whole manicure as it is used only on accent nail. Just keep in mind, you have to apply at least 3-4 coats of this glitter then only it gives opaque design.

You can wear green without a doubt now, remember you can choose any other brand and create this look.

Enjoy girls Smile

DIY your own Tinted Lip Balm

DIY CHITRA PAL LIP TINT (10)

Since so many days, I have been thinking to buy reddish color lip balm for me, but I could not find the right color, or the quality for lip balm is not good.

This encouraged me to use my favorite lip balm and favorite lipstick color which is red and make my own Tinted Lip balm as DIY. I hope you enjoy this DIY and make your own too.

For this DIY ,  I used one small sample size for red lipstick which I had, which I was not to use often as I was too scared of breaking it and the cap keeps on falling if I carry in my travel bag. So I decided to use this lipstick with my favorite lip balm Soft Lips which has SPF 20 and it will protect me in summers. You can use any brand you want.

For this you can just need

  1. One Lip balm/chap stick ( clear ) use any brand which suits you.
  2. One Lipstick, which you cannot use or you like.
  3. Olive oil, is a natural cure for your chapped or dry lips.
  4. A spoon or toothpick to mix and a mixing bowl (microwave safe) or big spoon.

Step by Step Directions with Images

  1. In a mixing bowl, scoop out all of your lip balm, don't worry we will fill it in again afterwards.
  2. Scoop out your favorite lipstick for color.
  3. Put very little  1/4 tsp of olive oil.
  4. Put the mixing bowl in a microwave or you can also heat with candle also. If you are heating the mixture with candle, don’t use mixing bowl just use a big spoon for mixture and put the spoon over the candle, it will take little bit more time then microwave.
  5. Let the mixture melt and mix them well with a tooth pick.
  6. Now with the help of small spoon or filter scoop the mixture back in your empty lip balm tin or bottle.
  7. Clean the bottle from outside and keep it in freezer for five minutes or in fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Now you very own tinted lip balm is ready to use.

Below are the step by step pictures and a hand and lip swatch for you. If you decide to make you own, make sure you tag me a photo on my social networks.

Oscar Night inspired nails

Who is ready for Oscars tonight? I have seen many celebrities wearing dark nail polish earlier, hope somebody will wear the bling today also. I like nude colors also, but sometimes dark colors go really well with light colored dresses. Today I have created my own version of Oscar inspired nails, which has little bit of bling and little bit of fabulous dark side of red carpet color.

Chitra Pal Oscar 1Chitra Oscar 2

  1. Always protect your nails with base coat.
  2. After the base coat dries, paint your nails with Wet n Wild Under your Spell.
  3. With Fergie Gold Album- Take a dotting tool and add three circular dots on all four fingers except thumb with four dots. If you don’t have any dotting tool, don’t worry create your own, with bobby pin or with left over lolly pop stick like I did.
  4. For lasting wear, apply a fast drying top coat.
  5. Remove the excess nail polish on your fingers or around nails with Q tip and nail polish remover.
